I have been a fitter and turner for the last 25 years, about 20 years machining on mills, the last 8 years or so on a CNC mill.
Had a short stint knifemaking ,motorized bicycles, both electric and petrol. Now into LED lights which is turning out to be the most interesting since the technology just started booming.

I have been doing electronics for over 25 years, In the last 5 years, I have been circuit bending many un-usual things. After a few big custom jobs I decided to have a 'light' break & started back into my hobby of light building, in particular LEDs lights. Bumped in to Dom Harvey, the amazing CNC machinist & the rest is history. All leading up to what you see before you today.

.: About Darell Dickey
Electric Vehicle proponent, avid bicyclist and LED lighting hobbyist. A member of CPF since 2001, and an Administrator for most of those years. Enjoyed being part of the "custom light" revolution on CPF - first with the original McLux, and then with the Aleph series.
Discovered a few years back that I have some facility for User Interface design, and that I enjoy the effort. Designing a bicycle-specific UI was a *requirement* to get the best use out of the new high-output emitters - and it was selfish labor of love!
